eCommerce Web Development for My School Book Club (www.myschoolbookclub.co.uk)
My School Book Club (MSBC) offers schools the opportunity to host their own book club on an MSBC micro site dedicated to their individual school. Parents can order books on their school's micro site with MSBC handling the eCommerce solution and fulfilment on behalf of the school. Lab Lateral was selected to provide the programming for new designs, and improve functionality and management areas so that MSBC could manage the whole eCommerce process more effectively.

Lab Lateral developed MSBC's eCommerce solution to provide simple site navigation and a high degree of usability, ensuring purchases could be made quickly and easily, bearing in mind that its target audience was busy parents. We added pages for news, videos and a feedback facility so that MSBC could improve the value of the content to their customers to ensure brand loyalty. Pages such as The Clubhouse, The Teacher's Lounge and The Notice Board took MSBC from simply being an online bookshop to being a hub of information for parents and teachers.

Implementing an Effective Online Marketing Campaign
The next step in this project was to improve MSBC's search engine listings through our Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Solution. Lab Lateral's Online Marketing Department has conducted an initial analysis and forwarded a recommendation for the SEO campaign.
