How Content Management Systems Works
Lab Lateral's powerful and advanced Content Management System enables you to control all content (text, images, graphics, video, sound and documents) found on your website or intranet. It provides you with the ability to edit, remove or add pages, create email templates and link pages to menus. It can also be used to control multilingual websites, with an unlimited number of languages and translations.
The easy-to-use editor provides a familiar 'Microsoft Word' feel, and uses much of the same functionality. The advanced content management editing tool makes modifying pages on your site as easy as creating and updating a Microsoft Word document. Templates can be set up and used to create new pages in just two clicks.
New pages and content can be programmed to go live at future dates and can include images, flash movies, videos and downloadable files. It can also show you a preview of how the site will look at a certain date. If you are going to be on a course or on holiday, you can use the content management system to set up and schedule all content for release whilst you are away and the site will manage itself!

Our Content Management System makes product eCommerce and management easy; you simply navigate to the product group that you want to amend and then follow a series of straight-forward steps to complete the task. Products and images can be added, edited and removed. Prices can be changed and future price changes can be scheduled. Special offers can be deployed and stock levels managed.
To make life easier for you, the CMS system can manage product variants by language, size, or colour. When creating variants, the system automatically copies the data from the primary product and then allows you to edit those details as you require. By default the CMS supports multiple images per product thus providing the customer with plenty of visual information from which a selection can be made.

Our CMS can support any stock control features that you require. We can populate the system with starting stock values and then as products are ordered, stock levels will automatically be reduced appropriately when items have been shipped. The system will flag (either by email or when an administrator logs in to the system) when a product falls below the designated minimum stock level. We can include pending stock or ordered stock value in the calculation of stock levels.
